PARK CITY, Utah — Residents will have an opportunity next week to hear updates on some of Park City’s most closely watched public projects during the city’s Spring Projects Open House.
The event will take place Tuesday, June 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the patio of the Park City Library. Representatives from departments across Park City Municipal will be available to answer questions and share information about projects currently in development throughout the community.
Among the featured topics will be the future of the Bonanza Park 5-acre site, ongoing upgrades at the Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center (MARC), plans for a new community center in City Park, and updates on the city’s senior center efforts.
The open house comes as several of those projects continue to generate discussion among residents over cost, design, and long-term community needs.
The Bonanza Park site, in particular, has emerged as one of the city’s most closely watched redevelopment areas as officials work through possibilities for housing, civic space, and community amenities in the Bonanza Park neighborhood.
Residents will also be able to hear updates from transportation planners and engineering staff, as well as representatives from High Valley Transit, who are expected to share the latest information on the proposed SR-224 Bus Rapid Transit project.
The SR-224 corridor has become a major focus of regional transportation planning as officials seek solutions to increasing congestion between Kimball Junction and Park City. The Bus Rapid Transit project is part of broader efforts to improve transit reliability and reduce vehicle traffic entering the community.
City trails staff will also be present to discuss ongoing trail projects and maintenance efforts ahead of the busy summer recreation season.
According to the city, the open house is intended to give residents an informal opportunity to connect with staff, ask questions, and learn more about projects shaping Park City’s future.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments from Lucky Ones Coffee will be provided.
