Summit Community Gardens and EATS appoints Parkite Helen Nadel as new executive director

PARK CITY, Utah — Helen Nadel, a local food systems expert with a deep understanding of the importance of community well-being and sustainable food systems, has been appointed as the new executive director of Summit Community Gardens and EATS.

“We are thrilled to welcome Helen Nadel as the new Executive Director of Summit Community Gardens and EATS. Her extensive experience, commitment to community well-being, and passion for sustainable food systems make her an ideal leader for our organization,” Melissa Stock, president of the board, said in a press release.

Nadel has served in a variety of leadership roles, including education and partnerships director for Greener Partners in Philadelphia, where she led a team that provided nutrition, gardening and cooking education to thousands of children annually. “So many people in our community connect with Summit Community Gardens and EATS, whether through the joy of growing food, the fun, hands-on education kids experience, or the power of sharing food with others in the community. I am thrilled to work with staff, Board, volunteers and partners to help Summit Community Gardens and EATS continue to thrive,” Nadel said.
