Summit County hosts 3 kick-off events for Our Summit: A Community Visioning Project

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The changing environment in Summit County, as the area’s population grows, brings new challenges as the county looks toward the future with its Our Summit Community Visioning Project.

Throughout 2o23, county officials are looking to work with the public to determine future goals to achieve over the next twenty years. To start the project in phase one will be three kick-off events around the county where the public can see a brief presentation followed by refreshments and a discussion.

“Our Summit is an opportunity for all members of the public to help us craft an actionable plan for the future of Summit County. No matter what part of the county you work or live in, we want to hear from you. Everyone has a voice in this process, and every voice matters. We’re looking forward to connecting with our communities over the next several months and hope to see you at these events and events in the future,” said Derek Siddoway, Summit County Communication and Public Engagement Director.

Each event will take place from 6 – 8 p.m. The first will be on January 17 at Ledges Event Center in Coalville, the second is on January 26 at Richins Building in Kimball Junction, and the third is on February 7 at the Summit County Library Kamas Branch in Kamas. Each event will have the same content. Childcare will also be provided during the events.

See the Our Summit County website for more information on how to get involved and stay updated throughout the Our Summit project.
