Mountainland Association of Governments to host Roadway Safety Open House for Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) is working alongside city and county leaders to develop a new roadway safety plan that aims to reduce fatal and serious injuries in Summit County.

As part of the plan, a Roadway Safety Open House will be held on Tuesday, April 16, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Sheldon Richins Auditorium (1885 W Ute Boulevard, Park City) to discuss where the most common crashes happen, what causes them, and how the MAG and local leaders plan to address them.

The open house is part of the community’s input into the process. Once the information gathered is finalized, the MAG will create a plan that can be used to apply for $5 billion in federal grant funds that are specifically earmarked for roadway safety projects.
