Call for local artists & vendors for the Summit Arts Market in July

PARK CITY, Utah — The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County (“Arts Council”) has announced its Summit Arts Market and is looking for artists for its largest showcase ever.

The market will take place one day only, on Saturday, July 13, at the Red Barn in Oakley from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. The deadline for local artists and vendors to apply is Friday, May 17 by 5 p.m. Space is limited, and priority will be given to Park City Artists Association members and Summit County residents. The market has grown to accommodate more makers and artists than ever with the footprint expanded to both inside and outside the Red Barn venue. The day will be filled with artistic entertainment, including musical performances provided in partnership with Mountain Town Music, live art demonstrations from participating artists, nonprofit partner activities, food vendors, and refreshments.

Showcase everything from handmade soaps to fine art

The Market will feature artisanal goods, in addition to fine art. Makers and vendors are welcome to apply to showcase and sell creative items at the event ranging from handmade soaps, honey, candles, skincare, produce, baked goods, and handcrafted products. Fine artwork can range from contemporary to traditional and include a variety of mediums from acrylic to watercolor to photography, ceramics, fiber arts, and jewelry.

Join the Summit Arts Market at the Oakley Red Barn

For years, the Oakley Red Barn has provided a picturesque setting for the Arts Council to showcase local creatives and small businesses.

“The Summit Arts Market is a colorful and lively celebration that showcases the many talented artists and makers that call Summit County home,” says Jocelyn Scudder, Executive Director of the Arts Council. “This event provides the perfect outlet for area creatives to share and sell their work, and gives residents and visitors a place where the entire family can gather to enjoy delicious food, live music, and explore a multitude of one-of-a-kind items created by local makers.”

Apply by May 17

To apply, artists are required to fill out an artist application and send three images (.jpg or .png) of their artwork or product to emma@pcscarts.org by the deadline (May 17).

Artists and vendors will be selected by a committee of local artists and community members from Summit County. All applicants will be notified about the status of their application by Friday, May 24, 2024. If selected, the registration fee to participate in the event is $75, due no later than Friday, June 14th.
