Call for artists for Gondola Art Walk

PARK CITY, Utah — Canyons Village Management Association is seeking five Utah-based artists or artist teams to creatively decorate the interior of inactive gondolas for a winter Gondola Art Walk.

The gondolas will be stationed around the Canyons Village Base Area at Park City Mountain Resort and will invite resort guests to peer inside the gondolas; those who do will be greeted by a magical winter wonderland scene.

Project Deadlines

Deadline for submissions: Friday, Dec. 1 by 5 p.m.

Artists Selection: Wednesday, Dec. 6

Project Installation Period (onsite at Canyons Village): Dec. 18-21

Gondola Art Walk live at Canyons Village: Dec. 22, 2023 – April 2024

Project Budget

The budget is $4,000 per gondola, which is inclusive of artists’ fees, materials, labor, insurance (either worker’s comp insurance or waiver is required), equipment to design and produce artwork, artwork installation, and travel costs including ground transportation. The exterior of the gondola will be wrapped by CVMA.
