Park City seeks local artwork to wrap 40 utility boxes this summer

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City and Rocky Mountain Power are seeking local artwork to wrap 40 utility boxes throughout the city this summer.

This is the second phase of the original EmPOWERment project that began in 2018. The first phase of the project put 9 artworks on utility boxes around Park City.

Local artists, students, families, and neighbors are encouraged to submit two-dimensional artwork that coincides with the EmPOWERment theme.

“The EmPOWERment theme should focus on the natural environment, arts and culture, community, and history and be reflective of Park City,” said the official call to artists.

Each selected artist or team will receive a payment of $400 for each artwork design. Wrap installation will be managed by Park City Municipal and Rocky Mountain Power.

Artwork submissions must be submitted by Wednesday, June 7 for consideration, and artists will be selected by Monday, June 12. Find more information or apply here.
