Ribbon-cutting and celebration for 9th and 10th Street stairs Feb. 13

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 13 to celebrate the completion of the 9th and 10th Street stairs, which add two new pedestrian stairs to Park Avenue.

Wooden stairs have historically been constructed in Park City’s Old Town right of ways to provide walkable pedestrian access. Over the years, stairs have been built and maintained in almost all Old Town’s rights-of-way, except for three city blocks on 9th Street and one block on 10th Street which remained unbuilt.

The new 9th and 10th Street stairs will fill this gap, providing residents in the area with walkable access to both Lower Main Street and surrounding Old Town Neighborhoods.

This outdoor ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place from 4-5 p.m. at the 9th Street Stairs on Park Avenue, and will be followed by light refreshments. The city encourages visitors to walk, bike, or take Park City Transit to the event.
