Snowshoeing Event Encourages Youth to Opt Outside

PARK CITY, Utah. — White Pine Touring is sponsoring a free guided snowshoeing event Jan. 25 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. for youth ages 11-17 as part of a Communities That Cares goal to promote mental wellness among Summit County’s younger population.”Tribe Outside,” according to the registration page, “[is] a program for youth designed to foster connection and share the joy for life through inspirational outdoor experiences.”

The event’s theme is Trees and Their Social Connection. Participants will hear from mentors Pamela LeLuz Butters through her opening singing bowl ceremony, and snowshoe guide Betsy Both, a White Pine Touring and yoga instructor.
