HEBER CITY, Utah — The first annual Wasatch Back Art Festival will take place at Heber’s Main Street Park, located at 250 South Main Street, on July 26 from 12-8 p.m. and July 27 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Over 25 artists will display their art

Festival organizers Johnny and Sherry Adolphson have gathered a unique group of local artists for this event. Award-winning artists will display their creations alongside artists who have never participated in an outdoor show before. This does not indicate that they are new to their artform, but that they have just chosen to wait until the right moment to present their work.

Come see photography, paintings on stone, canvas and other materials, wood creations from furniture to birdhouses, ceramics, jewelry, pottery, metal sculptures and more.

Free to the public

“Our goal is to create new opportunities for local artists to present their work to a new audience,” said Johnny Adolphson. “This will be an educational experience and a mentorship for the new artists and hopefully, a productive event for the experienced artists.”

Johnny and Sherry may not break even on this year’s festival, but their goal is to build it into a great community event for the future.

Community information, music and possibly food

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit and Wasatch Counties will share services and resources with the community at the festival. There will potentially be live music, and food trucks may also be on site.
