PCSS/USA jump onto the podium in Aerials in Austria

OBERTAUERN, Austria — Athletes from the Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS) Freestyle Team and the US Ski and Snowboard Freestyle Team took the silver medal at the FIS Freestyle Aerials Junior World Ski Championships mixed team event on Wednesday, March 29.

The team that skied in the event featured Connor Curran, Ian Schoenwald, Amelia Glogowski with Ashton Salwan and Cate McEneany supporting as back ups.

In the individual event on Thursday, USA took the bronze medal in both the men’s and women’s competitions. In the women’s event, Amelia Glogowski took third and Cate McEneany was also a finalist, finishing sixth. Connor Curran took third in the men’s event with Ashton Salwan just missing the finals in seventh, and Ian Schoenwald finishing eleventh.

“The combined efforts of both the USA Aerials and Moguls teams pushed USA to the top of the medal standings and won them the coveted Marc Hodler Cup for the strongest Junior Freestyle Team in the 2023 Championships,” Chris “Hatch” Haslock, PCSS Freestyle program director, coach, and Olympian (non-medal event), told TownLift.
