Global trip a hit for Park City snowboarders

'Riders achieved goals, learned new skills, and are frothing for the domestic season to begin'

AUSTRIA — Park City Ski & Snowboard’s athletes on the Global Snowboard Team recently returned from a preseason training camp in Austria.

Coach Nick Poplawski told TownLift, “This trip is a huge opportunity for PCSS Global Team riders to jump into mid-season form before snow guns have even fired up in North America.”

The trip was successful with seven days on the airbags at Banger Park, and seven days on hill at Hintertux. Additionally, this has been the largest snowboard training camp of the modern era with 12 riders accompanied by two coaches. “Riders achieved goals, learned new skills, and are frothing for the domestic season to begin,” Poplawski said.

Multiple riders’ trips were highlighted by landing new doubles on snow.
