Youth well-being and life-skills programming; THRIVE helps teenagers tackle mental health

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City nonprofit Live Like Sam is offering a fully scholarshipped program, Thrive, to help teens gain the necessary tools and life skills to improve overall well-being, live with purpose and intention, and as an added bonus, participants will earn an $80 research stipend in the process.

The Thrive program is a preventative mental health initiative, developed by Webewell in partnership with Live Like Sam, that strengthens youth well-being and life coping skills. LLS and Webewell have partnered to help address the growing youth mental health crisis.

Thrive covers topics like identifying personal strengths and values, goal setting to build a thriving life, stress reduction techniques, and cultivating positive thoughts, emotions, and habits.

Students who have participated in the program have experienced decreases in symptoms of depression and anxiety and experienced increases in youth quality of life and well-being.

Registration for spring session is limited and closes on March 1, 2023, at midnight. To register for Thrive or sign-up for future updates click here.

The program is available only to middle and high school students, grades 6-12, ages 11-18.
