PARK CITY, Utah — Mountain bikers of all ages are invited to celebrate summer on two wheels when Basin Recreation hosts its annual Downhill & Grill on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Trailside Bike Park.
The free community event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and combines an evening of riding with complimentary barbecue, live music, and activities for riders ranging from first-timers to seasoned mountain bikers.
In addition to open riding at one of Park City’s premier bike parks, children ages 6 to 12 can participate in a free mountain bike skills clinic led by Basin Recreation’s mountain bike coaches. Space for the clinic is limited, and advance registration is required.
The event will also feature the final race of the Tiny Tire Showdown, Basin Recreation’s balance bike race series for young riders. Registration for the race is free but required ahead of time.
No registration is needed to attend the event or enjoy the barbecue.
Trailside Bike Park, located at Trailside Park on Park City’s east side, features progressive jump lines, pump tracks, and skills areas designed for riders of varying experience levels, making the annual gathering a chance for families and friends to ride together while celebrating the local mountain biking community.
