Roots of Conservation: Our Region’s Open Space Legacy

October 14 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join our Lands & Natural Resources Department as we convene our long-time partners in open space for a conversation exploring the history, hard-won successes, and future of open space protection in our region.

In honor of America250, we’re bringing together the people who have helped shape Summit County’s open space legacy — from its early days to its most recent achievements — for a panel discussion on what it took to protect the land we all love, and what it will take to protect what’s next. Let us know you’re coming by using the registration link.

What to Expect:

  • 6:00 PM – Doors open for networking and refreshments
  • 6:30 PM – Panel begins:
    • Myles Rademan, former Park City Planning Director and founder of Park City Leadership
    • Bob Richer, former Summit County Commissioner
    • Cheryl Fox, Director, Summit Land Conservancy
    • Wendy Fisher, Director, Utah Open Lands
  • 7:30 PM – Q&A
