The snowfall comes just after a powerful storm system that brought heavy rain and severe weather to parts of the West Coast over the weekend. Moisture associated with Rachel, combined with colder air moving into Utah, has helped bring early-season snow to the mountains.
According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected to continue in the area through Wednesday evening, with Park City also forecast to see snow showers Monday night.
