EDEN, Utah — Powder Mountain is rolling out a package of family-focused changes for the 2026-27 season, including free season passes for children, reduced pricing for teenagers, and a new competitive freeride program for young skiers and riders.
Under the new Kids Ski Free benefit, adults who purchase any season pass will receive up to two complimentary youth passes for children 12 and under. The resort is also expanding season pass options for teens ages 13 to 18, with updated pricing across its Unlimited, Unlimited Renewal, and Midweek tiers that the resort says will reduce costs by up to $300.
“Families are the core of the Powder community, and we’re offering these passes to reflect how important they are to the fabric of the mountain,” said Brandi Hammon, Powder Mountain president. “Having grown up here, I fully appreciate what access to the mountains means for our kids.”
The changes come as ski resorts across the West continue to navigate rising pass prices and growing pressure to keep the sport accessible to families. Powder Mountain, a resort in Utah’s Ogden Valley known for its uncrowded terrain and daily skier caps, has positioned itself as an alternative to the region’s larger destination resorts.
The resort also announced the launch of Powder Ski & Ride Team, a competitive freeride program that builds on its existing multi-week ski school. The program will offer structured coaching, team development, and a pathway into freeride competition for junior athletes. Registration opens May 1.
