PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Library is inviting community members to turn everyday waste into miniature works of art this April as part of a month-long recycled materials exhibit and contest to celebrate Earth Month.
From April 1–22, residents can submit small art pieces made primarily from discarded or recyclable materials. Entries will be displayed inside the library throughout April, with winners selected based on creativity, use of recycled materials, and overall presentation.
To participate, artists must bring their completed piece to the library front desk, where they will receive an entry form. Submitted works will then be included in the exhibit space for public viewing.
Guidelines and requirements
All submissions must be made from at least 75% recyclable or non-recyclable “trash” materials. All pieces must be securely assembled with no sharp edges.
Winners will be contacted at the conclusion of the exhibit.
Participants may retrieve their artwork after the exhibit ends through May 3. Any pieces not claimed by that date will be disposed of by the library.
Organizers say the exhibit is designed to highlight creative reuse and encourage residents to rethink everyday materials through an artistic lens.
