Where to rent skis in Park City: Top shops for gear and service

PARK CITY, Utah — As ski season nears, Park City rental services, including Ski Valet Park City, Aloha Ski & Snowboard Rentals, and Silver Star Ski & Sport, are gearing up to provide convenience-focused, customer-driven experiences for visitors looking to hit the slopes.

Ski Valet Park City: Personalized Service and Flexibility

Operating since 2008, Ski Valet Park City offers ski gear rentals with a concierge-style delivery service that caters to clients in Park City and Deer Valley. “We’re here to make the process as seamless as possible,” said Zach Wood, owner of Ski Valet Park City, emphasizing the ease of their rental process. The service includes a personalized fitting experience and the flexibility to adjust gear at the guest’s lodging or on the slopes. Wood notes that the company offers multiple rental packages — performance, premier, and demo — catering to different skill levels and preferences.

Ski Valet Park City also emphasizes community and teamwork, with a focus on customer satisfaction. “We’re all hands-on here,” said Wood, adding that General Manager Bailey Jensen’s organizational skills have been instrumental in the shop’s operation. Wood and Zoe Gordon, who has worked alongside him for five seasons, both hail from Cincinnati but share a passion for skiing that brought them to Park City.

Aloha Ski & Snowboard Rentals: Family-Oriented Convenience

With nine locations in Park City, Aloha Ski & Snowboard emphasizes a family-friendly approach. “It’s really about making everything easy and comfortable for our guests, whether they need online reservations, walk-ins, or delivery,” said Lauren Cousins, a new Team Member at Aloha. She highlighted the benefits of multiple locations, including Park City Mountain Resort, Canyons Village and Historic Main Street, which allow visitors flexibility in picking up and dropping off gear.

Cousins noted Aloha’s focus on customer care and the option for guests to try various ski and boot models until they find the right fit. “The right boot fit is key to enjoying the slopes,” she said. Aloha’s services also include a range of rental packages, from beginner to high-end demos, providing options for all levels. Cousins also emphasized the company’s supportive culture, mentioning that “our Team really supports each other, and that translates to a better experience for our guests.”

Bahnhof is the oldest full service ski shop on Main Street and Aloha is the second oldest.

Silver Star Ski & Sport: A Neighborhood-Driven Experience

Silver Star Ski & Sport, in operation since 2008, emphasizes a community-centered atmosphere, providing an “authentic vibe” for locals and visitors alike, according to Todd Fischer, the owner. Fischer, who started the business in 2008 and then bought it outright in 2014, prioritizes customer service and fitting customers with the right equipment for their experience level.

“The goal is to make sure our guests have the right gear and leave with a smile,” Fischer said. Located within a unique development that also includes housing and local businesses, Silver Star emphasizes the importance of community. Fischer described the shop as a place where employees are passionate about the sport, often taking “lunch laps” on the mountain to reenergize during busy days. The shop offers a variety of top-brand gear, from Rossignol to Volkl, and prides itself on high-quality tuning and repair services.

From Ski Valet’s personalized approach, Aloha’s convenient options for families, to Silver Star’s community atmosphere, Park City’s rental services strive to make visitors’ ski experiences memorable and hassle-free.
