Kids ski free as Deer Valley kicks off winter season
PARK CITY, Utah — Children 12 and under will ski free at Deer Valley Resort from December 7-13, marking the resort’s participation in Alterra Mountain Company’s Kids Ski Free Week initiative.
“Kids Ski Free Week is a testament to Deer Valley’s commitment to exceptional guest service and creating elevated family experiences,” said Rob Sogard, vice president of skier services. “We’re pleased to offer this program to make skiing more accessible and encourage family participation in the sport.”
The weeklong promotion aims to make family skiing more accessible early in the season. Families can secure 30% discounts on lodging through Deer Valley Lodging, while junior equipment rentals will be offered at half price at both Snow Park and Silver Lake Lodge locations. Families who book children’s group lessons during the week will also receive 50% off a future lesson this season. Some dates are restricted.
A valid Deer Valley lift ticket, available through the resort’s website, remains required for all chairlift access during Kids Ski Free Week.
Deer Valley’s season passes for the 2024-25 winter season are still on sale and come with a slew of benefits, including:
- Season pass holders can ski any day without reservations, and there are no blackout dates (Ikon Pass holders require advance reservations).
- The resort’s First Tracks program gives pass holders early mountain access on select dates throughout the season, including January 8 and 22, February 12 and 27, March 5, and April 2.
- Through the Wasatch Benefit Program, pass holders gain complimentary access to other Utah resorts, including Alta, Brighton, and Snowbird, on select weekdays.
