Chairlifts and cold ones: Deer Valley’s beer festival is back

PARK CITY, Utah — Deer Valley Resort will host its fifth annual Mountain Beer Festival on Sept. 19 and 20, giving guests a chance to sample a curated lineup of Utah craft beers while taking in mountain views.

The festival, held on the lawn of Silver Lake Lodge, runs from noon to 5 p.m. both days. Attendees can try full-strength beers and a range of styles from breweries across the state.

The weekend begins Friday, Sept. 18, with a Brewmaster Dinner. The festival itself follows Saturday and Sunday with chairlift rides, food, live music and activities for families.

Live music headliners include Dylan Catrone on Sept. 19 and G. Love & Special Sauce on Sept. 20.

Festival access is only available by chairlift on the Silver Lake Express. Guests should park and check in at Snow Park Lodge.

Guests looking to extend the weekend can book the Mountain Beer Festival Weekend Package. Those who reserve at least two nights of lodging between Sept. 17 and 22, 2026, will receive complimentary, unlimited scenic lift rides on the Silver Lake Express, Homestake Express and Sterling Express for everyone on the reservation. The lift access allows guests to hike, dine and explore the resort. Lodging options range from one-bedroom suites to multi-bedroom residences. Festival tickets are sold separately from the lodging package.
