Snowbird to remain open through May 27 with no closing date set

SNOWBIRD, Utah –It’s not over yet. As the winter season turns the corner into April, Snowbird announced their full spring operations schedule. The mountain plans to stay open until at least May 27 and a closing date hasn’t been announced.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The bird will be open for skiing and riding through at least Memorial Day, conditions permitting. Operations past Memorial Day will be assessed as spring progresses.
  • April 14: Lower Gad Valley terrain and lifts, as well as Chickadee, will close. No beginner terrain will be available at this point. The Tram, Peruvian Express, all of Mineral Basin and Little Cloud will remain open.
  • April 21: Baldy Express closes for the season.
  • May 6: Spring operating hours go into effect, lifts are scheduled to spin from 8 am – 2 pm.
  • May 12:Daily operations end. Snowbird will be open for skiing & riding every Saturday and Sunday, as well as Memorial Day, conditions permitting.
  • As noted previously, Snowbird plans to continue offering lift-accessed skiing through at least May 27th, weather and conditions permitting. A closing date hasn’t been announced yet.
