Human-caused fire contained west of Echo Reservoir in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Fire crews have stopped the forward progress of the West Echo Fire, a wildfire that broke out west of Echo Reservoir in Summit County on Friday afternoon, according to Utah Fire Info.
The fire is currently estimated at 12 acres and is human-caused, officials said. Crews have made good progress on the blaze, and conditions are currently looking favorable. At least one helicopter is on scene assisting with suppression efforts.
Echo Reservoir sits along Interstate 80 north of Coalville, near the junction of I-80 and I-84.
