Park City continues work on 3-phase Main Street water line replacement project

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City is replacing aging water lines as part of a three-phase project. Lower Main street has been closed since April 1 as crews work to install a new water main along Main Street.

Vehicles can still drive north on Main Street, and the Post Office is still accessible from Swede Alley.

This Main Street Water Line Replacement project is essential to replacing aging infrastructure more susceptible to pipe breaks. The city expects the project to be completed by July 2026.

The city is working with the Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA) to coordinate construction timelines with the quietest business months on Main Street. The three-phase project is expected to take three shoulder seasons, with construction taking place from April 1 to July 1 of each year.
