Ask an Officer: How many officers does it take to put on Sundance Film Festival?

PARK CITY, Utah — This month, in the Ask an Officer series with the Park City Police Department, we focus on the unavoidable hustle and bustle of the Sundance Film Festival.

Main Street transforms into the Festival headquarters with thousands of visitors, employees, and volunteers. So, how many officers does it take to uphold an event like this?

Officer Jason Rose said, “This is a large international event that requires a lot of assistance from state, federal, and other local agencies. Depending on the day or event, there could be anywhere from 20 to 100 officers working to keep the film festival safe.”
