What’s your opinion on Summit County roads? Voice it at an open house Nov. 30
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The public is invited to voice their opinions on Summit county streets at a virtual open house tomorrow, Nov. 30.
At this event, the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) and its consultants will outline the Safe Streets for All project and gather feedback from Summit County residents on what roadway safety concerns they see within the community.
The MAG develops transportation policies and guidance for Summit, Utah, and Wasatch counties. The organization received $1 million last year as a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All grant program, to be used for projects to improve safety and prevent deaths and serious injuries on the roadways.
The MAG is currently in the process of developing a Safety Action Plan, which will result in a series of transportation improvement projects to be submitted to the United States Department of Transportation to gain funding.
The open house will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at this Zoom link. It will start with a presentation on the project and the work being done in Summit County, then end with a question and answer session.
A recording of the open house will be available afterward here.
