SNAPPED: Utah DNR shares photo of northern lights above Jordanelle State Park

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A recent photo snapped by Ian Karr and shared by the Utah Department of Natural Resources (DNR) shows a vibrant aurora above Jordanelle State Park.

According to a Facebook post from the Utah DNR, there may be another opportunity to view the northern lights in Utah again this weekend.

“We hear that the northern lights could be visible in Utah again on Sunday, May 14 (Mother’s Day!),” said the Facebook post. “Utah’s state parks (especially those designated as International Dark Sky Areas) are ideal for viewing celestial wonders.”
