Snowbird to plant a tree for every 2022-23 early season pass sold

PARK CITY, Utah — In a press release from September 24, Snowbird announced a program in which they will plant a tree for every 2022-23 season pass they sold. The program is titled “Buy a Pass. Plant a Tree. Play Forever.” Snowbird is partnering with Nokian Tyres, a longstanding resort partner, to fulfill this sustainability promise.

The resort will plant a tree for every ticket sold after April 13, 2022, through September 28, 2022, to correspond with early season price tickets.

Snowbird President and General Manager Dave Fields commented on the program, saying, “We are excited and proud to partner with Nokian Tyres on this initiative. Buy a Pass. Plant a Tree. Play Forever. It is our commitment to honor our pass holders and our desire to protect the environment.”

The program is designed to help sustain the very environments that skiers love, alpine forests and slopes. The press release reads that “trees are a vital part of life on earth, and planting trees will benefit people, nature, and wildlife for years as Snowbird continues to Play Forever.”
