Recycle Utah’s Dumpster Days return Oct. 8-10

PARK CITY, Utah — Summit County residents looking to clear out yard waste or household garbage can skip a trip to the landfill during Recycle Utah’s fall Dumpster Days, set for Oct. 8-10 in Park City.
The three-day event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at the Munchkin Lot, 1420 Munchkin Road.
Recycle Utah will place two large dumpsters in the parking lot, one for garbage and one for yard waste. Volunteers will be on hand to help residents unload materials.
The event is limited to residential waste from Summit County. Businesses may not use the dumpsters.
Recycle Utah is asking residents to drop off materials only during designated event hours. Overnight dumping is not permitted.
Mattresses, tires, refrigerators, and hazardous materials will not be accepted during Dumpster Days. Information about disposal options for those materials is available through Recycle Utah’s website.
The nonprofit holds Dumpster Days in the spring and fall as an additional disposal option for Summit County residents, including a way to divert yard waste for composting.
Recycle Utah is also seeking volunteers to help during the event. More information about Dumpster Days, disposal options, and volunteer opportunities is available at RecycleUtah.org.
