6th Annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski to return this October with plan to break 2019 record

PARK CITY, Utah — The Annual Park City Sunrise Shot Ski will be back on Historic Main Street this year on Saturday October 15 at 2 p.m. with its sixth, even longer shot ski. The event is sponsored by Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery, and proceeds of the event will again be donated to the Rotary Club’s local grant program that sponsors over 20 different community groups in Park City.

The last shot ski used in 2019 was 2,610 feet-long and served 1,310 people. It was constructed with 515 skis end to end and raised $34,565 for the Rotary Club’s grant program. This year, organizers are making an even longer ski in an attempt to serve at least 1,330 people to break the 2019 record. If successful, the event will raise over $35,000.

Connie Nelson from the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club commented on the upcoming event:

“We are thrilled to finally bring the Park City Sunrise Shot Ski back to its Main Street home. We look forward to gathering in the name of community as we strive to earn $35,000 for our local grant program to benefit Park City passions and initiatives that keep us all thriving.”

High West Double Rye whiskey is the drink of choice to be featured in the shot glasses this year. Tickets are still available at parkcityshotski.com.
