Woman found dead in hot tub at Coalville Best Western

COALVILLE, Utah — A 56-year-old woman from Laramie, Wyoming was found dead in a hot tub at the Best Western hotel in Coalville around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies first received reports of a possible drowning after the woman’s family contacted authorities. The family said the woman was still seen moving around near 6:3o a.m.

When checked on again around 7 a.m., the woman was floating on her back and showing signs of unconsciousness. Officials were told that she suffered from “extensive health issues.”

Lifesaving measures were attempted by emergency medical staff. The exact cause of death has not been determined.
