PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau brought together business leaders, community members and local stakeholders at its annual meeting on Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Pendry Park City, highlighting a year of organizational milestones while outlining priorities for the year ahead.
Despite national economic headwinds and a challenging winter season, the organization achieved an all-time high membership of more than 1,100 partners and strengthened its four-season vision through strategic diversification and expanded programming. Key accomplishments included welcoming 120 members of the media, generating $120 million in editorial coverage; achieving Wheel the World Certified status with 30 local businesses and organizations ensuring accessibility and inclusion; awarding 14 Sustainable Tourism Grants in fiscal year 2026, with 17 more approved for fiscal year 2027; and growing the Mountainkind Card program to more than 115 participating businesses, generating $111,000 in member value.
Looking ahead, the chamber outlined priorities for 2026-27, including recertification as an IDEAL sustainable destination, developing a passport project with chamber partners, supporting Michelin Guide recognition of Park City’s culinary community, and promoting Shaun White’s Snow League. Those initiatives, alongside continued collaboration with the University of Utah on visitor impact management, advance the organization’s mission to strengthen Park City’s visitor economy while protecting the community, culture and natural environment that define the destination.
The meeting marked a leadership transition as Deirdra Walsh, vice president and chief operating officer of Park City Mountain Resort, assumed the role of board chair, succeeding outgoing Chair Aldy Milliken.
“As we transition seasons, we transition Board leadership, and today we celebrated both,” said Jennifer Wesselhoff, President and CEO of Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau. “The new board stepping into their role, the community champions driving our mission forward, and our collective commitment to stewardship and partnership will guide us through another exciting year ahead.”
Natalie Randall, managing director of the Utah Office of Tourism, highlighted the importance of statewide collaboration in strengthening Utah’s position as a leading travel destination.
The chamber also recognized two members of the Park City community for their contributions:
- Myles Rademan Spirit of Hospitality Award: Randy Barton was recognized for his exceptional contributions to Park City’s values of community, culture and authentic mountain hospitality.
- Green Business of the Year Award: Abode Luxury Rentals was recognized for its leadership and commitment to sustainable business practices and environmental responsibility. The award, presented by the Park City | Summit County Green Business Program, celebrates businesses taking meaningful action to reduce their environmental impact and support a more sustainable community.
The annual meeting is one of three key annual events hosted by the Park City Chamber & Visitors Bureau. The Tourism Fall Forum is held in the fall to kick off the winter season, and the Wasatch Back Economic Summit is hosted each spring.
