SALT LAKE CITY — A water main break early Tuesday morning near 1300 South and 750 West in Salt Lake City caused damage to at least two homes and created a roughly seven-foot sinkhole that swallowed one vehicle, according to the SLC Fire Department.
There were no reported injuries. The water was turned off around 5 a.m. The public is being asked to avoid the area.
