Deputies unable to locate naked man reported near Jeremy Ranch trail

A caller reported seeing a naked man wearing only a hat and hiking toward Salt Lake City; deputies found no sign of the individual.

JEREMY RANCH, Utah — Summit County sheriff’s deputies responded Sunday afternoon to a report of a naked man walking through a wooded area near a trail in the Jeremy Ranch area, but were unable to locate him.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office received the call at 3:05 p.m., according to Sergeant Skylar Talbot. The caller reported seeing the man about 45 minutes earlier, placing the sighting at approximately 2:20 p.m.

The individual was described as naked except for a hat and was reportedly hiking in the direction of Salt Lake City.

Multiple deputies responded to the area and searched for the man but were unable to find him, Talbot said.

The Sheriff’s Office received only one report related to the incident.

No threatening behavior was reported, and deputies had not located the individual as of Monday afternoon.
