Army National Guard transports crashed Black Hawks to Heber Valley Airport

HEBER, Utah — A Chinook helicopter from the Army National Guard helped transport the two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters that crashed near Snowbird last week to the Heber Valley Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

The helicopters were transported one at a time, using straps that attached them to the Chinook.

Members of both the Utah and Nevada Army National Guards are participating in the recovery efforts.

After the drop-off in Heber, they will be transported via trailers to the Utah Army Aviation Support Facility in West Jordan.
