Summit Park community invited to welcome Ryan Cutter home

Neighbors are invited to line Aspen, Maple and Crestview drives Tuesday afternoon as a procession brings the Summit Park pilot home.

SUMMIT PARK, Utah — Summit Park residents are invited to line the route Tuesday afternoon as Ryan Cutter, a local helicopter pilot who died while fighting the Dome Fire in Yosemite National Park, is brought home to Utah.

Cutter, a Summit Park resident, died Sunday, Sept. 20. His wife, Nina, will accompany him home Tuesday, Sept. 29, with a formal procession expected to arrive in Summit Park between approximately 1:15 and 1:45 p.m.

The procession will exit Interstate 80, turn onto Aspen Drive at the stop sign past the gas station, continue onto Maple Drive past the Summit Park Fire Station, then proceed onto Crestview Drive before arriving near the corner of Parkview Drive and Crestview Drive.

Neighbors who would like to welcome Cutter home and show support for Nina and the family are encouraged to gather safely anywhere along the route.

Residents are asked to give the procession room to pass safely.
