SNAPPED: Park City Ski & Snowboard watch party at Utah Olympic Park

PARK CITY, Utah — Local athletes and fans came together at Utah Olympic Park on Thursday to cheer on Team USA in the Winter Olympics in Beijing at a watch party organized by Park City Ski & Snowboard.

The crowd was shown on NBC’s primetime broadcast during a period in the night.

Fraser Bullock, the president and CEO of the Salt Lake City-Utah Committee for the Games made an appearance, encouraging the community to embrace the possibility of a future Winter Olympics in Utah in either 2030 or 2034.

The committee for The Games, the Park City Council, the Summit County Council, and the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation have scheduled a joint meeting on Feb. 15 at 2 pm MT at Utah Olympic Park to discuss a potential Olympic bid. The meeting will be streamed on Park City Municipal’s Facebook page.
