Light snow accumulation possible early this weekend

PARK CITY, Utah — Parkites may wake up to an inch or two of snow on Saturday morning.


According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snowfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible on Friday night. There is also a 40% chance of snow before 11 a.m. on Saturday, totaling less than a half-inch.

Other than that, it will be a relatively dry weekend.

A 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 41. South southwest wind around 13 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.
Friday night
Snow likely, mainly after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind 6 to 9 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible.
Saturday
A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly before 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a steady temperature around 29. West wind 7 to 11 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.
Saturday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 23. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph, becoming east southeast after midnight.
Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 38. East northeast wind around 6 mph, becoming west southwest in the morning.

Mostly clear, with a low around 28.

Sunny, with a high near 45.
