Trailside Bike Park’s reopening date is a little muddled

PARK CITY, Utah. — The Trailside Bike Park in Summit County is temporarily closed due to conditions of snow and mud.

Bike riders can check here for updates

Notification on the Basin Rec. webpage reads, “Welcome Spring and MUD Season! It’s best to use trails while frozen; avoid recreating when snow is soft or trails are muddy. Park only in designated areas, respect closures, avoid muddy trails, recreate responsibly, and be good stewards of our open space.”

The award-winning bike park attracts locals and visitors from within the county and many who travel from outside the county to enjoy the free, world-class amenity.

The connected cemented skate park is open as well as the adjacent playground and dog park. Other Basin Rec. bike trails closed for snow and mud include the RTS Trail off of Olympic Parkway and the BLT Trail and the OMH. Designated openings and closings are updated on the above link quite frequently. For example, as this article was beginning to be written, there were four closures listed and by the time it was completed, there were nine.
