High West Whiskey Club Unites Fans Near and Far
PARK CITY, Utah. — Are you whiskey-curious? Or maybe whiskey-intimidated? Local and tourist favorite High West Distillery and Saloon offers a not-so-secret Whiskey Club, open to all 21 and older. Sign up online – membership is free.
High West lovers around the globe can join – but locals have the advantage of, well, being local. The Whiskey Club emails members when a seasonal whiskey or Barrel Select is coming out, and locals have easier access to the Saloon in Park City or the Distillery in Wanship. The home team advantage also applies for High West release parties for Bourye, Midwinter Night’s Dram, and other seasonal and limited whiskeys.
There are perks for non-local whiskey connoisseurs as well.
“The biggest perk of being a member is finding out which new releases are hitting the shelves before anyone else,” said Caitlin Johnston, a High West marketing specialist. “This goes for both national and distillery releases. Moreover, we are doubling our efforts…to bring club members more access to hard-to-find products.”
The Whiskey Club began in 2016, the same year Constellation Brands acquired the Utah distillery. “The High West Whiskey Club is a community of like-minded whiskey fans,” Johnston said. “Membership includes being a part of our email list, exclusive information about our products, Distillery and Saloon, plus access to new releases and invitations to members-only High West events.”
It’s a big club; 56,000 people have joined so far. The Whiskey Club offers more than just email blasts. The Club is a direct link to communicate with passionate followers of the brand. Johnston said, “The Club has been central to fostering loyalty and kinship with our consumers. We also use the Club…to offer ways to bring the High West experience to them wherever they are.”
In a time where travel and experiences are not as accessible as they used to be, the Whiskey Club utilizes virtual experiences to bring High West to your home (and not just on your bar cart). Free virtual tastings, tours, cocktail classes, and meet-greets with distillers are in the works for club members.
