Fighter jets to soar over Park City on Independence Day

The 419th Fighter Wing out of Hill Air Force Base will conduct a flyover in Vernal, Fillmore, North Ogden, and Park City on the 4th of July

To celebrate the Independence Day holiday, the 419th Fighter Wing will be flying over several different cities in Utah. Vernal, Fillmore, North Ogden, and Park City will get to see and hear the jets between 8:30 AM and 11:45 AM local time on July 4th, 2024.

The 419th Fighter Wing is made up of nearly 1,200 personnel, most of whom live in Northern Utah. The Air Force Reserve stated that the members of the 419th Fighter Wing regularly volunteer to deploy for humanitarian and contingency operations worldwide. The 419th FW’s July Fourth flyover tradition began about 35 years ago, and the wing typically supports over a dozen community celebrations all across Utah.
