Sundance Mountain Resort opens new gallery with free make-and-take projects, live music

SUNDANCE, Utah — Sundance Mountain Resort will mark the opening of its newly relocated Art Studio & Gallery with a two-day celebration June 6-7, featuring a ribbon cutting, live music, artist demonstrations and complimentary hands-on activities for visitors.

The studio and gallery, now housed in the resort’s Creekside Building, has long been a fixture of the Sundance experience. It offers classes for all ages and skill levels in jewelry making, pottery, painting, photography, journal-making and more. The gallery hosts a rotating roster of visiting artists, with new exhibits introduced each month.

The weekend’s scheduled events include:

Saturday, June 6

11 a.m.                         Ribbon Cutting

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.          Artists on Deck

Noon – 3 p.m.             Guest Artist Jann Marie Meads Demo

1 – 3 p.m.                    Patio Session (live music)

3 – 5 p.m.                    Complimentary Make & Take Project*

Sundance Mountain Resort was founded by Robert Redford in 1969 and sits at the base of Mount Timpanogos along the Provo Canyon Scenic Byway. The resort earned one MICHELIN Key in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide, and its signature Tree Room restaurant received Wine Spectator’s 2025 Award of Excellence.
