PARK CITY, Utah — Construction work on the new SR-224 bus lane quite literally went sideways Tuesday after a side dump trailer connected to a semi cab tipped over at the work site.
The trailer appeared to be unloading material alongside the existing roadway as part of work to build a foundation for the future bus lane expansion project.
According to witnesses at the scene, the truck was in the process of dumping when the right-side tires sank into the dirt, causing the trailer to tip onto its side.
No injuries were immediately reported. Park City police department was not contacted to assist with the incident or for traffic control.
Construction along SR-224 is part of a broader roadway improvement project aimed at adding a dedicated bus lane to improve transit access and traffic flow between Kimball Junction and Park City.
