SUMMIT COUNTY, UT —Tuesday’s Democratic caucus meetings in Summit County were more than a routine party gathering.

They marked an early and meaningful step in two county council races that may ultimately be decided on the Democratic side.

With no Republicans filed in either race, the June Democratic primary is likely to carry unusual weight in determining the county’s next council members.
