Kamas, Coalville DMV offices reopen after extended closures

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — The Kamas and Coalville DMV offices reopened Monday, March 16, after extended closures tied to temporary staffing challenges, according to Summit County.

The reopening restores in-person service at all three Summit County DMV locations, including the Park City office in Kimball Junction. Summit County’s Motor Vehicle Services page lists updated drop-in schedules for each location.

The Coalville DMV, at 60 N. Main St. is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., with a daily closure from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Kamas DMV, at 110 N. Main St., is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., also closing from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

The Park City DMV, at 1885 W. Ute Blvd., remains open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., with a daily closure from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

County officials previously announced in January that the Kamas and Coalville offices would be closed through Friday, March 13, citing temporary staffing issues and the need to maintain service consistency.

Summit County residents can find more information through the county’s website.
