All departing flights briefly grounded at Salt Lake City International Airport due to weather

SALT LAKE CITY — All departing flights at Salt Lake City International Airport were temporarily grounded Wednesday as a winter storm brought snow and ice to the region.

The FAA issued a ground stop that was initially set to expire at 1:45 p.m. before being extended as a ground delay through 5 p.m., with 30-minute delays expected. Flights have since resumed.
