Park City’s haunted wine tour digs up history
PARK CITY, Utah — The Fox School of Wine is bringing a spooky twist to its annual Mines & Wines tour this October, opening the usually private event to the public.
The tour, now in its second year, will focus on Park City’s mining history and ghost stories. It’s scheduled for Oct. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Headmistress Kirsten Fox said, “The employees who entertain our guests are suckers for costumes and our history here. Why not combine both and offer it near Halloween? You’ll meet Cyrus, the Ol’ Prospector, The Undertaker, the Nearly-Dead Saloon Girls and the Ghost in the Yellow Slicker.”
Participants will visit four historic landmarks, tasting five wines and four foods during the two-hour experience. The tour begins at Bob Wells Plaza, where guests board luxury transportation.
Tickets are $169, which includes a $20 donation to the Park City Museum. “We are still able to enjoy many of the amazing structures of the past because of their work,” Fox said.
Tickets are available at the Fox School of Wine website.
