Tears and traffic: Semi rolls spilling onions on I-80

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A semi truck carrying a load of onions rolled on I-80 two miles east of Silver Creek yesterday in Summit County.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on June 25, and several TownLift readers reporting being passed by a semi truck carrying onions shortly before the accident.

The semi trucks cargo of onions was scattered along the roadside during the incident. Park City Fire District units ME 37, MA 37, E 33, and B3 were dispatched to the scene. Despite the dramatic spill, there were no reported injuries, and all lanes were quickly reopened.
