KB Richins receives warm welcome home after American Idol success

The streets were lined with adoring fans holding posters, inspired by the courage Richins showed performing on the national stage of American Idol.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Kaibrienne Richins was warmly welcomed home to streets lined with students from North Summit High School, where her musical journey began. Richins recently starred on the hit TV show American Idol and made it to the top 8 before being eliminated Monday night. The homecoming celebration included fire trucks and ambulances from North Summit Fire, whose spokesperson said, “Your talent continues to inspire us all, and we’re honored to have such a shining star in our midst.”
