Bike to school days scheduled for May 10th

PARK CITY, Utah – Bike to School Days are planned for this week in Park City and despite the snowy weather, organizers say they are gearing up for a fun morning of pedaling to school.

There are two annual Bike to School events in the Spring, one at the County schools and one for Park City’s McPolin Elementary. The County’s Bike to School event is hosted by Basin Recreation and Park City’s Bike to School Day is hosted with McPolin Elementary students. Both bike to school days will be on May 10th.

Park City’s bike to school day will be the same as in previous years, with students (and typically parents) meeting up at one of four locations to ride as a group to McPolin Elementary.

Helmets and bells will be provided for students who need them at each meetup location. Once students arrive at the elementary school, they will receive a free bagel breakfast as well as more bike bells and helmet fittings. Our partners for this event include Mountain Trails Foundation, Park City’s Police Department, Park City School District, McPolin Elementary, Basin Recreation, Park City Chamber of Commerce, Summit County, Wasatch Bagel, Summit County Sherrif, Ride On Park City, and Jans.
